Griffith will look to make it seven straight defences of the Hedditch Cup when they take on Hay at Exies Oval on Sunday.
Since the cup resurgence at the start of the season to replace the O'Farrell Cup, Griffith has gone undefeated since taking the cup back from local rivals Leeton back in December.
This weekend, Griffith will face off against Hay who has been somewhat of a bogey side for Griffith in recent years with Hay taking the Creet Cup off Griffith twice in the last two seasons.
Griffith coach Tim Rand knows to expect a tough game when Hay comes to town.
"It will be a good test," he said.
"They don't have a Creet team to name so they will be coming across with a strong team."
After last week's game was cancelled and weather has been causing cancellation in the local competition it has been an interrupted last fortnight of cricket for the Griffith players.
Rand isn't too concerned by the lack of game time his players have had in the last couple of weeks.
"We are towards the end of the season, so I don't think a couple of weeks off will be too problematic," he said.
There have been a number of enforced changes to the Griffith side with a couple of senior players unavailable while the under 16s team is in action against Leeton in the Warren Smith Cup.
"Ryan Greenaway is away this weekend, and a couple of the under 16 boys like Ben Signor and Oliver Bartter are unavailable," he said.
"Reece (Matheson) is still out with a bad back and Charlie (Cunial) is still unavailable as well, so there will be a few missing.
"It is a good chance for some of the other boys to step up and while we would have liked to call up some juniors to give them so experience with the Warren Smith Cup game on as well we couldn't do that."
Despite the changes, Rand is still confident in the side that he has at his disposal.
"It will be a different challenge," he said.
"There has been a fair bit of rain in the last week so it will be interesting to see how the pitch plays, but we will be looking to bat out our 55 overs."
The game will get underway at 10am on Sunday at Exies Oval.
