Griffith's Nate Mingay re-wrote the record books at Southern Inland Swimming Association's annual Long Course Championships at Oasis Aquatic Centre on the weekend.

Mingay broke seven records in the eight years and under boys division while Mooney shattered four individual and two individual records.
Griffith 13 year old, Nicole Taylor, also eclipsed the state records for 50m and 100m breaststroke in the S15 classification, for swimmers with a hearing impairment.
Overall, 68 individual records and four relay records were set during the carnival.
"We were a bit concerned in the lead-up to it, but Oasis Aquatic Centre opened up Bolton Park stadium so we could do a lot of our race marshalling in the air con," SISA president Tom Murphy said.
"The best thing to come out of it was the emergence of some clubs who have been relatively quiet or on a hiatus over the years like Cootamundra, Coleambally and Gundagai. It was good to seem them competing and being quite strong."
