Only the Friday night second grade game between Coleambally and Exies Diggers was able to be played out despite the warm conditions.
The game was reduced to a 25-over encounter due to the heat rules being in effect and Diggers looked to make the most of winning the toss and electing to bat.
The experienced duo of Mark Favell and Michael Duncan at the crease the pair were able to put on 33 runs in the first four overs before Duncan (19) was dismissed by Jack Weymouth-Smith (1/32).
Diggers lost their middle-order cheaply with Brett Owen (2), Brendan Wade (0) and Damien Browning (5) falling to the bowling of Avinash Gurram (3/13) while Favell (46) fell just short of fifty when he was dismissed by Shane Taylor (1/26) to see Diggers fall to 5/82.
With just over 13 overs remaining in their innings, Tom Harper and Jack Favell looked to push their side towards a defendable total.
Diggers reached the end of their 25 overs the sixth wicket partnership was able to put on 76 to see their side reach 5/158 with Harper (56*) and Jack Favell (22*) both finishing unbeaten.
The Nomads were able to make early inroads as they post fifty inside eight overs with Weymouth-Smith and Neil Burke laying the foundation.
Trouble struck for the Coleambally side when Weymouth-Smith (33) and Gurram (0) falling in quick succession to the bowling of Harper (2/6) while Burke (18) was caught off the bowling of Craig Lugton.
Sam Breed tried to lead the fightback for his side however the difficulty he faced was finding someone to hang around with him with Browning (1/23) taking the wicket of Mitchell Wiseman (2) while Cooper Smith (2) and then Breed (29) was dismissed by Greg Collins (2/31).
The Nomads needed to score 55 runs off the remaining 2.3 overs and despite the best efforts of Taylor (8*) and Kurt Wieldraayer (21*) the Coleambally side finish their innings on 6/128 to see Diggers take a 30-run win.
