The accolades flowed thick and fast for Griffith & Regional Association for the Performing Art's rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream, which has been nominated for three categories as well as a special commendation for attracting a young cast and crowd to Shakespeare.
The acapella singers and fairy ensemble were given two nominations for their magical performances and Melanie Toscan was nominated for best lead actress for her role as Hermia.
Mrs Toscan said she was deeply proud of her fellow cast and crew, who she'd developed a strong camaraderie with over the many gruelling months of rehearsals.
"I've loved being part of the big theatre family," Mrs Toscan said.
"It's a rewarding experience because of all the people around you."
Griffith Regional Theatre's community musical Legally Blonde featured heavily in the 2019 CAT awards, which blew away Griffith audiences and Canberra critics alike.
The nomination for best actress in a musical went to Bonnie Brown, a triple threat who wowed the crowds with her singing, dancing, and acting prowess.
The Year 12 student said the nomination made her more determined than ever before to continue chasing her dream of becoming a professional actress one day.
"I always really enjoyed musical theater and performing, but I never thought it was something I could do for the rest of my life," Miss Brown said.
"I've changed my mindset. I thought to myself: if this is what I want to do, I'm going to do it seriously."

Heath Neville was nominated for his behind-the-scenes work on the Legally Blonde set, which blew audiences away with its absurdly high production value.
"It sucks that a single name gets nominated, because it really is a massive team effort," Mr Neville said.
"We're competing against the best of the best for the CAT awards, and for a small country town like Griffith to be pulling in so many awards is simply amazing."
The winners of the 2019 CAT Awards will be announced at the ANU's Llewellyn Hall in Canberra on April 18.
