IT has been a year for kicking goals for Favell as she continues to move through the ranks in the AFLW. After being selected in the Murray Bushrangers side for the under 18s competition, she finished as best and fairest at the club.
I know that getting up there today made my parents proud

The talented footballer was then selected in the AFLW NSW state side along with the Eastern Allies which brings together female footballers from NSW, ACT and Tasmania.
Favell was also selected to train for the GWS Giants AFLW and was the only NSW player selected in the AFLW National Academy.
Favell was full of smiles after collecting her award on Sunday.
"I think it just means that all of the hard work is slowly starting to pay off and I know that getting up there today made my parents proud," she said.
"All of the money and the effort and the travelling that they (Abby's parents, Mark and Angela) have put in, all of their weekend is dedicated to my sport so it's a massive effort from them and it is paying off."
Favell is now preparing for her second season with the Bushrangers.
"We have had a few pre-season training runs now," she said.
"We had a training in Wagga on Friday, so that was good and a bit less travel but it is tracking along well so far. I think we have a lot stronger team than last year so we will give those Melbourne people a run for their money."
It isn't just on the AFL field where Favell is having success having been picked in school sides for basketball and netball and was the senior champion in senior Cross Country and Athletics at St Francis.
She was also apart of the MIA League winning Griffith Demons and was a member of the Leeton Greens league tag side who finished runners-up in 2019.
