The accolades flowed freely on the day, with Margaret Moore getting crowned citizen of the year and Dale McCleary being dubbed the 2019 Local Hero.
Backs were slapped and tears were shed on the day, which was capped off with the traditional citizenship ceremony.
A total of 83 people became true-blue Aussie citizens on that day, the largest intake Griffith has seen in many years.
They came from Albania, Malaysia, Germany, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Italy, Iran, Pakistan, Fiji, Nepal, the Philippines, India, South Africa, and Hungary, but by the end of the day they were all true-blue Aussies.
