Diggers took on Hanwood, and after being sent into the field, they made an early breakthrough with Craig Lugton picking up the wicket of Ryan McWhirter (1).
Cameron McWhirter was able to keep the scoreboard ticking over but finding a partner to hang around with him became an issue.
Outside of McWhirter (71), no other batsmen broke double digits with the next top scorer being Trevor Cowie (9) with Lugton (2/13), Damien Browning (2/8), Paresh Patil (2/12) and Neil Casey (2/2) helping to restrict Hanwood to 101 when they were bowled out in their final over.
Diggers lost the wickets of Mick Duncan (10) and Patil (3) when they were both dismissed by Ryan McWhirter (2/19) before Brett Owen and Browning got their side back on track.
While Browning (10) fell to Shannon Caughey (1/10) but Owen (42*) and Tom Harper (31*) were able to guide Diggers to a seven-wicket win with 19.3 overs remaining.
The Cougars were able to maintain their top at the top of the table after a convincing win over Coleambally at Westend Oval.
The Nomads won the toss and elected to bat, and they were on the back foot early with James Lyell (1) falling to Jamie Bennett (1/7) while Andrew McIntyre (1/5) was able to pick up the wicket of Jack Weymouth-Smith (2).
Shaun Iddles (8) and Neil Burke (8) were able to put on 20 runs before trouble stuck for the Nomads.
Andrew Potter (5/5) and Will Dalton (2/3) were able to claim the remaining seven wickets while the Coleambally side only managed 14 runs before they were bowled out for 37.
The Cougars lost two wickets with Adam Badham (7) and Chris Sutton (0) falling to Weymouth-Smith before Mark Burns (26*) and Jake Rand (0*) got their side to an eight-wicket win in 8.1 overs.
In the day-night game on Friday night, Exies were able to climb off the bottom of the table after defeating Leagues.
The Panthers lost two early wickets before Kierren Williams (23), Babar Safdar (13) and Shae Prudham (15) leading the fightback.
Jimmy Mann (3/15) was the pick of the bowlers while Dan Duckworth (2/28) and Adam Waide (2/22) helped to restrict Leagues to 9/98 off 35 overs and if not for late runs from Liam Warren (11) and Oscar Nolan (11) it could have been worse for the Panthers.
Prudham (3/24) put pressure on the top of the Exies order as they lost four quick wickets before Adam Waide (16) and Duane Ashcroft (14) lead a fightback. Safdar (2/15) took two wickets before Cameron Harrison (20*) and Gavin Woods (13) were able to get their side over the line for a one-wicket win with six balls remaining.
