Graham Campbell and Lance Poka combined to take out the 4 ball, carding 49 points, Poka carded four point pars on the 2nd, 3rd and 13th.
Runners-up, one point back on 48 points were David Kidd and Alf Franchi. Kidd nailed a birdie on the 10th.
Franchi nailed birdies on the 5th and 8th.
Scott Smith and Steve Hedba 46 points came third on a countback over James Lethlean and Allan Andreazza and Mark Webb and Xavier Boucher 46 points.
Boucher with 41 points won the single event, draining birdies on the 1st, and 2nd in a two under par 34 out, on a countback over Bill Brown 41 points.
Brown had a stellar front nine, carding 23 points with six pars.
Andreazza also carded 41 points but lost a podium finish on a countback.
Pro pins to Alf Franchi and James Lethlean.
Par threes: 4th John Bortolazzo, 7th Ryan Harrison, 11th Tony McBride and 16th Brett Polkinghorne.
Vouchers to 43 points in the 4 Ball, 36 points in the single A two grade single stableford on Sunday.
Wayne Bottcher 37 points won 0-18 grade over Tuiri Phillip 36 points.
The 19-36 Grade was won by John Wallace 37 points, with Steve Powell 36 points in second.
Vouchers went to 32 points.There will be a special Australia Day competition on Sunday, January 26th.
The event will include a barbecue after golf.
Players are asked to wear their favourite Aussie colours.
The event is a Two Person Ambrose.
The qualifier for the Red Gum Plate, sponsored by Brady Painters is on Sunday, February 2nd.
Players should ensure they are qualified to play.
The 2020 McNabb Caltex 5's commenced last Monday, January 20th.

The veterans started their season with a bang last Thursday with 34 players contesting a single stableford with a mystery draw for partners 4 Ball.
In the single Tony McBride won 0-19 carding 37 points ahead of Steve Matheson 36 points.
Geoff Smith 35 points won 19-36 Grade over John Evans 32 points on a countback over Lindsay Martyn 32 points.
Matheson won the 4th and 15th pins, Tony McBride 8th. Vouchers to 32 points.
Peter Henderson and Geoff Smith won the 4 BBB on 69 points.
They were followed by Roy Calabria and Graham Gifford 63 points, Steve Matheson and Garnett Reade 61 points, Lindsay Martyn and Mich Catanzariti 61 points, James Browne and Liz Graham 60 points.
Eleven pairs won prizes listed on the club's website.
This week's veterans will once again be a medley single stableford.
A two grade single stableford last Wednesday: James Lethlean 37 points won 0-18 Grade, Andrew Noad 36 points second.
Lee Kimball 30 points won 19-36 Grade from Michael Keena 30 points.
John Brennick won the 7th pin, Robin Salvestro 15th. Vouchers to 31 points.
