Mrs Kaur said she loves the friendly neighbours, the relaxed atmosphere, and the sense of community that Griffith has to offer.
However she still holds on to some of her Punjab roots, participating in the spectacular Punjabi festivals and Sikh celebrations that Griffith is famous for.
When Australia Day rolls around on January 26 she'll be celebrating her one-year anniversary of becoming a dinky-di Aussie, and on that day there will be another citizenship ceremony to welcome in the next batch of people who've chosen to call Australia home.
