DANNY GREEN RETURNING FOR FIGHT NIGHT
After an exciting pro-am fight night between Danny Green and eight-time world champion Roy Jones Jnr in Griffith, it was announced that Green was set to return on this day in 2010.
The fight night scheduled for May 22 looked to see both Danny Green and Vic Darchinyan ringside for the Nitro Boxing event.
SENIORS WEEK GETS A CASH BOOST
Griffith Seniors Weeks was given a kick start with a $600 funding grant from the Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare on this day in 2010.
Griffith City Council put the funding toward a concert featuring Julie Anthony.
BARELLAN SHOW UNDER THEFT THREAT
Furious community members spoke out on this day in 2010, after thieves smashed their way into the Barellan showground for the fourth time in 12 months.
The thieves gained access to the main office building and destroyed locks, broke glass and stole alcohol, dampening centenary celebrations and causing thousands of dollars in damages for the show society.
