The video game retailer will see 19 "unprofitable" locations close by the end of the month across the nation and an EB Games spokesperson said the Griffith store is not part of the locations earmarked for closure.
"Like all businesses, we are constantly evaluating our property portfolio to ensure that our stores mix is in-line with the ever changing retail landscape," the spokesperson said.
"After careful consideration we will be closing 19 unprofitable stores at the end of January.
"Griffith is not part of these closures."

The spokesperson said staff working at locations due to close were offered the opportunity to work at nearby stores where possible and the chain plans to open more hybrid stores "that combine the power of both the EB Games and Zing Pop Culture" over the coming year.
The nearest Zing store is in Wagga Wagga, which is part of a hybrid store with EB Games.
"These hybrid stores, combined with our strong omni-channel offering, 6 million loyalty members and 300+ locations across Australia, will see EB Games continue to be one of Australia's largest specialty retailers," the spokesperson said.
EB Games has 334 stores across Australia, having begun trading in 1997.
