Locals raised a grand total of $13,500 for cancer research in the first two weeks of the new year, setting themselves a target of $80,000 to achieve during Relay for Life.
HISTORICAL PIECE PUT ON DISPLAY
Griffith Regional Art Gallery announced the showpiece of their annual exhibition on this day in 2015.
The 1908 watercolour painting by Horace Moore-Jones was acquired through a donation to Griffith Regional Art Gallery in 1985.

The desired location in the application was a council site on the corner of Wakaden and Crossing streets.
REGION HIGH ON BULLYING LIST
Alarming statistics uncovered that Murrumbidgee children were among the worst in the state for taking out Apprehended Violence Orders (AVOs) against other children, on this day in 2010.
The figures, released by the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research, showed the Murrumbidgee area ranked third in the state for number of protected children per population.
