Riverina Complete Sports' event organiser, Ross Marando, says he cannot wait to get back into the action.
"We've had a couple of weeks off which is always good, gives everyone a bit of a break over the holidays," he said.
"But we're very excited to start back up in 2020 by kicking and throwing some balls around."
The temporary closure of the RCS complex was due to a relentless heatwave which struck Griffith in early December, prompting the decision to reschedule all fixtures until conditions improved and the holiday break had ended.
"It was a bit of a shame having to postpone that last round because everyone was enjoying it," Marando explained.
"We wanted to play, but obviously with the heat we didn't want to risk it.
"It's all fun and games but we don't want anyone out there risking their health."
Despite past conditions, the future forecast for Riverina Complete Sports looks bright.
A brand new senior netball competition will grace the complex on January 23, with team nominations now open.
Dodgeball will begin in March, with both social and competitive matches available on Wednesday nights.
Senior futsal is currently scheduled to resume on January 13, with seven rounds remaining before finals.
Junior futsal will launch on January 18, as kids and parents reignite their weekend tradition of indoor footy in Yoogali.
"There are some really skilful kids in the juniors," Marando said.
"Things are starting to get competitive which is good to see, and there's a lot of really good match-ups."
Heading into the new year, Riverina Complete Sports is once again catering to the sporting needs of the community.
The complex in Yoogali is boasting something for everyone in 2020.
"I'd like to say that in particular we're very excited about our new netball comp which is starting," Marando said.
"We're also trying to run a comp on Sundays for the netball as well, so we'll see what happens there."
