Chris Fuchs, 41 points, won A Grade, firing a one-over par 72 and carding 17 pars and one bogie. Xavier Boucher, with 38 points, finished second, draining birdies on the 5th and 9th. Shane Gaffey, 40 points, was best in B Grade ahead of Chris Conlan, 39 points.
Lucas Conlan, 38 points, won C Grade on a countback from Riley Townsend, 38 points. Townsend, an upcoming junior, had a front nine to remember combining a five-point birdie on the first and birdies on the 6th and 7th. He had misses on two holes but still carded 22 points out.
Pins were won by 14th Chris Fuchs, 7th Riley Townsend, 11th John Brennick, 16th Xavier Boucher. Vouchers to 33 points.
With cooler conditions on Sunday, a field of 68 players contested another single stableford. Allan Andreazza, 39 points, won A Grade from Alf Franchi, 38, on a countback over Trevor Richards. David Kidd, 37 points, was best in B Grade with Michael Catanzariti, 36, second on a countback from Albert Donadel. Gavin Aventi, 42 points, won C Grade ahead of Jarod Gale, 40 points. Frank Zambon won the 7th pin, Nick Viasoff 16th. Vouchers to 35 points.
Members are advised that Saturday's event is a single stroke for the January medal. With the hot weather, players can tee off from 6am but should contact the pro shop first.
Thursday's veterans competition will resume on Thursday, January 16. There will be a veterans pro shop competition this week.
A single stableford will be played today, a single stroke on Saturday and medley stableford on Sunday.
A total of 44 players took part in a single stableford on New Year's Day. Andrew Noad, 42 points, won A Grade from Sim Tuitivake, 37, on a countback from Brett Angel, 37. Alf Franchi, 37 points, was best in B Grade from Barfry Northeast, 36 points. Nick Viasoff won C Grade with 38 points; Skeet Milne with 37 points was second. Jason Magoci eagled the 15th, while Nick Viasoff won the 8th pin, Peter Henderson 16th. Vouchers to 31 points.
A single stableford was played on Saturday, December 28. Xavier Boucher, 38 points, won A Grade from Todd Donaldson, 37. John Brennick, 39 points, was best in B Grade ahead of Jake Harrison, 37. Chris Gill, 35 points, won C Grade from Riley Townsend, 34 points, on a countback from Ian Carney, 34. Robin Salvestro won the 4th pin, Max Turner 7th, Todd Donaldson 11th, Mark Townsend 16th. Vouchers to 33 points.
A single stableford was played on Sunday, December 29.
Mitchell Howard, 37 points, won A Grade on a countback over Tiuru Phillip, 37 points. In B Grade, Craig Browne won with 39 points from runner-up Joshua Smith, 35 points. C Grade was won by Adam Browne, 43 points, from Steve Powell, 38 points. Adam Browne won the 7th pin, Brendon Peters 11th. Jason Magoci eagled the 9th. Vouchers to 35 points.
A single stableford was played on Boxing Day. A Grade was won by Brett Angel, 35 points, on a countback from Col Vearing, 35 points. B Grade went to Brad Fawcett, 36 points, from John Brennick, 35 points. In C Grade, Chris Gill won with 41 points from Lance Gilbert, 40 points. Vouchers to 33 points.
