The couple were visiting the McPhee family home when the fire broke out, with the pair being overwhelmed by the magnitude of the blaze. Both Meagan and Reece escaped unharmed.
GRIFFITH PAYS AT THE PUMP
Outgoing NRMA director Graham Blight said the average price of petrol in Griffith was 15 cents dearer than Sydney and Melbourne on this day in 2015.
"We're country people but we don't expect to be ripped off," Mr Blight said.
