The clash on January 5 will be Forner's first senior representative cricket experience, after the 15-year-old stunned team coach Tim Rand during the GDCA season.
"We're excited to have young Forner making his debut for us on Sunday," Rand said.
"Hayden has been killing it this season.
"He's a wicket-keeper batsman and to be honest we're pretty psyched about him playing."
Hayden does boast some senior experience in the first grade flight of the GDCA competition, however, he is yet to step into the world of representative cricket.
"Couple of nerves playing against the big boys, but pretty excited for it and happy to be involved," Forner said.
"But I guess I'm not too nervous, really just more excited if anything."
Hayden has been playing his inaugural season within first grade for Exies, as part of the current 2019/2020 season.
During his initial GDCA season, Hayden has scored 264 runs in 14 matches, with a bowling average of 21.57 and a batting average of 27.61.
"It's been going pretty well in the open competition," Forner said.
"I'm pretty proud to be part of a good, quality team.
"I love wicket-keeping and batting and I really enjoy playing first grade for Exies."
When asked how he felt heading into his first senior representative cricket game against Young, Forner said he was looking forward to the challenge.
"From what I've heard they've got a pretty strong side, so it would be good to get up against them."
"Getting to play all of the top players from each comp will be difficult.
"It's the cream of the crop really so I suppose it's a good challenge for everyone."
2020 will be a tough year for Hayden in the cricket, as he sees an abundance of matches mark his calendar due to his impressive skillset.
Alongside being added to the Hedditch Cup squad, Forner has also been named among the Bradman Cup outfit travelling to Albury on January 7.
"There's plenty of boys I know on the team and I get along really well with them, so it will be exciting to play with them even though I'm bottom age," he said.
"I'm pretty happy to be a part of it and it's a good challenge as well.
"There's a good group of blokes there and I get to wicket-keep for that side and bat in the top order, it should be really good."
