AFTER an extensive few weeks sitting the dreaded HSC exams, students at Murrumbidgee Regional High School have finally received their results.

Their hard work and late-night study sessions paid off in dividends, with 14 students recording results in the band 6 range, and a further 76 students recording at least one band 5.
"To be honest, I am pretty stoked to be finished," student Jesse Paton said.
"I'm just relieved that it's all over and we're being rewarded for our work," student Lucy Preston added.
Murrumbidgee High students at both sites recorded band 6 results in Advanced English, Mathematics, Personal Development Health and Physical Education, Visual Arts, German Beginners, Society and Culture, Textiles and Design and Hospitality.
Jesse received a mark of 92 for his efforts in German Beginners, while Lucy scored 90 in her Textiles and Design exam.
"I would have been studying at least 3 hours a day, easy, when I didn't have school," Jesse explained.
"Now I'm hoping to take a gap year, then go on to do primary school teaching or environmental science."
The 494 student entrants were the first cohort to graduate from the merged super-school, which lent an air of uncertainty to teachers and students before the results came in.
But despite the somewhat controversial scaling system of the modern ATAR rankings, many students at Murrumbidgee Regional High School exceeded expectations.

The conclusion of the 2019 exams has left students with high hopes and results, opening a number of doors and career opportunities for the bright minds of tomorrow.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the nurturing, highly-motivated team of teaching staff at Murrumbidgee High.
Principal Peter King said he could not be any happier with this year's efforts, from both staff and students alike.
"We really are incredibly proud of our students and their amazing results, all of their hard work has finally been rewarded" Mr King explained.
"I would just like to pay tribute to my teaching staff for their expertise and dedication."
