In another tremendous display, the bowlers dug their team out of a hole to record the team's second win in 3 games to give them a good chance of making in the final.
If not for a last wicket partnership of 17 between Cade Anderson and Raj Brar, Griffith would not have reached its score of 60. At 8/31, the situation was dire. Seamus Malley (12) opened the batting and top scored, Christian Dall'est made 9 and Cade Anderson made an invaluable 7 not out at the end of the innings.
Leeton's batting was cruising at 1/34 but in an extraordinary period of 8 overs, Leeton lost 9 wickets for 14 runs to be all out for 48.
Nick McGibbon got a reward for some hard work in the nets, with a match winning haul of 5/13. Manon Dave was equally effective in capturing 4 valuable wickets for 11 runs. If this team can learn how to bat out their 40 overs, they will be a real chance of taking out the cup.
