This shared grief for people in the country close to his heart in has lead Fresh Cutz Barber Shop manager Chris Tomi to help organise a fundraiser.
Held from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, he alongside Martin Matini, Kenny Fatafehi and Lafaele Lale will be cutting hair and hosting a barbecue with all proceeds going to Samoa.
With Christmas just around the corner, noone can imagine what these mothers and families are going through.

The Samoa measles outbreak has not slowed down, prompting the government to extend a state of emergency on Saturday to December 29.
More than two percent of the island nation's population has been infected, and there have been 72 measles-related deaths.
Most of those fatalities were children under the age of five.

"With Christmas just around the corner, noone can imagine what these mothers and families are going through," Mr Tomi said.
Mr Tomi thanked Gannon's Butchers for donating sausages for the barbecue.
