A grassroots alliance of teachers, parents, and students are circulating a petition demanding the de-merger of Murrumbidgee Regional High School.

The petition comes in the aftermath of a heated meeting on Monday, when critics of the super school merger came to publicly voice their opposition to the new model.
Meeting chairman Tom Marriott said he wanted to restore the schools to "roughly the way they were", with at least one school principal for each of the two sites.
Former Griffith High School teacher Kevin Farrell will be leaving copies of the petition at shops, post offices, and anywhere that will have them.
"I love Griffith High School, you better believe it. That's why I'm doing this," Mr Farrell said.
"You can also ring the minister's office, the premier's office, or any politician you like - just tell them what's happening here and how much of a disaster it is."

If the petition gets at least 500 signatures it will be tabled before parliament by Member for Murray Helen Dalton, who is a staunch critic of the super school merger.
Mrs Dalton said she's "pretty much begged" education minister Sarah Mitchell, adding that she needed people power to help her persuade the politicians in government.
"I can only do so much when I go to Sarah Mitchell's office... I need you to give me a hand," Mrs Dalton said.
"You run the show, you pay the taxes, it's your kids, so you've got to step up."
A teacher's spouse said they were skeptical about whether a de-merger was feasible, but that the current model had to change.
"I can't see things going back to how they were, so I think as a community we need to rally together and make a decision as to where we want the education system in Griffith to go," they said.
"It's only by us as a community standing together and uniting is when we're going to get what we want."
The NSW Teachers Federation will be holding a separate meeting of MRHS teachers in the first term of 2020 to discuss their "concerns".
