Ben Signor and Hayden Forner will join fellow Riverina cricketer, Wagga's Jake Scott, in the Country Thunder side who will play 50 overs matches against Metro Thunder before facing either Metro Sixers or Country Sixers.
The State Challenge is the next step in the pathway following on from the Cricket NSW Youth Championships which was held in October.
Both Forner and Signor featured for the Murrumbidgee side who finished third in the Thunder Pool after the seven-game competition.
Forner finished the Youth Championship with 137 runs in six innings which featured a fifty in their first game of the competition while Signor had a great time with the bat scoring 232 runs at an average of 46.4 which feature three scores over fifty.
Signor also finished the seven games with five wickets.
Both Signor and Forner were hopeful they would be able to carry their strong form from the competition earlier in the season into the two fifty over matches this weekend as they build a case to be selected for the next stage as the State Challenge acts as a selection trial for the Under 15s National Championship to be held in February.
