The Eagles are currently occupying the fourth position on the ladder, but they are only three points ahead of the Panthers meaning a positive result for the Panthers, whether it is an outright win or a winning draw, would see the Exies side fall to fifth.
The Leagues side has struggled with the bat so far this season, but Matt Keenan was able to change their fortunes last weekend as he hit the first half-century for the season in their loss to Coro and the Panthers will be hoping he is able to recreate that form as they look to end their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are coming into the game on a four-game losing streak which extends back to the last time the two sides met.
Exies will be hoping that Jamie Winkler will be able to continue his strong start to the season with the ball while with the bat the performances of Tom Spry and Phil Burge will be crucial.
In the meeting earlier in the season weather intervened before a result could be determined with the game evenly poised midway through the Eagles innings.
The first ball will be bowled at 4.30pm on Saturday evening.
