The season will kick off with a clash between Yanco-Wamoon and Waratahs on Saturday, April 4 while the defending champions Darlington Point Coleambally will start their season off at home against TLU Sharks on Sunday, April 5.
Saturday games are set to become more prevalent this season with a number of rounds featuring two games on Saturday and then the remaining two games on Sunday.
At this stage, there will be six rounds out of 18 where there will be a doubleheader on Saturday while there will only be two rounds where games aren't played on Saturday which includes the weekend the Canberra Raiders take on Newcastle in Wagga.
President Mark Stenhouse said the move was made at the request of the clubs.
"Some of the clubs were pushing to have the majority of their games on Saturday," he said.
"Yanco, Black and Whites, Waratahs and Hay all wanted to play most of their games on Saturday."
According to Stenhouse, the move has been off the back of the other significant development of the offseason with all senior clubs now represented in Group 20 Junior Rugby League.
"The major change has been that juniors and seniors have come into line," he said.
"With West Wyalong JRL coming back into Group 20, every club will be playing from their under 6s right through to first grade on the same day.
"It's just about creating a culture for clubs from juniors right through to seniors."
With the seniors being a nine-team competition, whenever a senior team has the bye, their juniors will take on Narrandera JRL which allows the juniors to be playing throughout the season with no byes.
There is an added advantage in the eyes of Stenhouse with more Saturday games.
"It will probably be better for the referees in terms of numbers," he said.
"With rounds of two games split on Saturday and Sunday, it allows us to spread the officials around more so than in recent years."
It will be stop-start to begin as one round will be played before a general bye over the Easter weekend while the competition will have the Queens Birthday weekend off as well.
The grand final rematch between Waratahs and Darlington Point Coleambally will be played at Exies Oval on Saturday, May 23.
The final series will get underway on Saturday, August 22 while the grand final will be played on Sunday, September 13 at Solar Mad Stadium with Tullibigeal Lake Cargelligo hosting.
