At no stage did the Griffith batsmen look comfortable. Jai Kenny again top scored for the side with 12 runs and Cae Culgan provided some assistance with his seven runs.
Seven Griffith batsmen were dismissed for a duck which must be some sort of record and the side was all out for 33 runs after only 13.4 overs.
However Wagga didn't count on a devastating spell of bowling from Christian Dall'Est. After a first wicket stand of 17, Wagga lost six wickets for four runs to be reeling at 6/21. By that time Dall'Est had the figures of 5/8 off four overs including four wickets in four balls when he was forced to take himself off because of the bowling restrictions on under 12s.
Wagga did not lose another wicket and passed Griffith's score with six wickets down after 11 overs.
Batting practice is a high priority for this side if it is to compete in the final.
