I hope the organisers have a full understanding of the issues surrounding the Murray Darling Basin Plan and have fully considered the consequences of their request.

What's the old saying; "be careful what you ask for."

While we have had a number of years of Coalition government, both state and federal, this will change at some point in the future.

If 'The Plan' is scrapped entirely, as the legal environment now stands, the Greens will have the power to force the Labor Party to take more water from farmers for the environment.

Right now, an extra 450 gigalitres can be taken, but hopefully that water will be taken from changes to the Southern Lake's management.

If the organisers of the 'Can the Plan' rally want to benefit this region, and I am sure they do, I strongly suggest they recognise what threat Labor and the Greens are to this region without the plan.

I also strongly suggest they work desperately hard between now and December 2 to have a signed commitment from the leader of the Labor Party and Greens at the event stating that they will not take one more drop of water from the Murray Darling Basin for the Environment.

With such an agreement in place, I'm sure there will be more traction on getting rid of the biggest waste of tax payer money I have ever seen.

The recent bleating by the crazy green element that the bushfires were caused by climate change and the PM's reluctance to call an emergency climate change cause just to give their cause authenticity.

Ah! Yes, the Greens are finally proving themselves to be the mischief making ratbag party the majority of the Australian electorate have known all known that they were.

Commonsense would have it when back burning is discontinued, it's only logical that we would be inviting more severe fires than what we would normally expect in our sunburnt country.

Locking up forests to keep the Greens pacified has proven to be foolhardiness costing needless loss and damage all of which could have been avoided.

Even more stupid, is laws to fine farmers for clearing the boundaries of their own paid for properties another considered taboo that offends the green logic, yet just makes commonsense.

For a very minor percentage of the Australian population these crazy groups have been allowed to enjoy too much clout at the expense of sensible minded people who managed quite well until this adverse mob were allowed to rule the roost.

What is interesting is that their electoral results never budge yet they are forever carping on the streets, super gluing themselves to roads, peddling their nonsense through activist councils, our courts, our parliaments, schools, etc and of course utilising twitter to spread their message.

They are a menace to our society hell bent on destroying its framework, its people, its industries, its rivers and above all its peoples effort to become a united nation built on trust rather than their ongoing discord that benefits no one.
