Lake Cargelligo has already seen off one challenge this season defeating Leeton pretty comfortably two weeks ago and Griffith coach Tim Rand is expecting a tough challenge this weekend.
"From what I have heard, they have been playing good cricket so it should be a good test heading out there," he said.
I think the boys are excited to be getting back into playing cricket on a Sunday. It will be a good run into challenging for the Heddich Cup against Leeton next weekend."
The side will be without a couple of players due to other representative cricket being played over the weekend with the under 18s Graham Gorrel Cup and under 16s Colston/Scammell Shield being played in Albury over the weekend.
"I still think we have a strong enough side win the Cup back," he said.
Heading over to Lake Cargelligo, Rand is expecting it to come down to who is able to bat first.
"From my memory, the outfield was always pretty fast, and the deck was flat, so if we can bat well it will put us in a good position," he said.
"Then we will just have to stick to our plans with our bowling."
Unfortunately for the hard-working ground staff out at Lake Cargelligo, the field was vandalised with burnouts done on the field and the wicket was also damaged.
The Griffith side will meet at McDonald's at 8am before making the trip north with play set to start at around 10.30am.
