We know this time of the year can be difficult, especially for those remembering loved ones who have died.
People are invited to write a message on a blank Christmas tag in memory of their loved ones and hang it on the tree as a way of including them in the spirit of Christmas. Everyone is welcome and a light lunch will also be provided. RSVPs are not necessary.
Early works at Griffith Base Hospital are progressing well. A series of successful community and staff consultations have been held.
The redevelopment timeline includes concept design release and consultation in late 2019, detailed design and planning approval in 2020 and tenders for main construction works in 2021. The hospital will be completed and operational in 2025. For more information, visit www.mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/GBHRedev
Our Local Health Advisory Committee annual general meeting will be held at the hospital from 5.15pm on Thursday, November 28. We are also looking for two enthusiastic new members to join the team. We aim to have a diverse mix of people who are keen to play a vital role in community involvement in local health service planning, priority setting, and evaluation.
