After winning the toss and electing to bat it was Brad Hornery and Micheal Crosato who got Hanwood off to a strong start. The pair laid the foundation before the spin bowling of Jack Hutchinson dismissed the pair with Hornery (16) caught by Rob Rand and Crosato (41) stumped by Mark Burns.
Oliver Bartter and Jarryd Day were able to keep up their side's momentum as they pushed on for a big score.
Fresh off a half-century last weekend, Bartter (66) posted another fifty while Day (32) played a good supporting role before Alex Flood (3/42) picked up the pair and sent Hanwood skipper Charlie Cunial (0) back to the pavilion without troubling the scorers as well.
Ben Rowston (14*) added some late runs alongside Dean Catanzariti (2*) with Hanwood bringing their innings to a close on 5/199 off 45 overs to set an imposing task on the Cougars to take an outright win while they would need to bat out the remaining 40 overs, scoring at over 4.42 runs per over to take a winning draw.
Mitchell Williams Hedges and Tim Rand looked to get their side off to a strong start and were moving in the right direction before Dean Wynne (1/14) struck to remove Tim Rand (16).
Coro skipper Haydn Pascoe joined Williams Hedges and looked to keep his side moving forward towards the required rate before Pascoe was caught by Oliver Bartter off the bowling of Rowston (1/21).
Williams Hedges found a partner in Rob Rand before Angus Bartter picked up the wicket of Williams Hedges (62) after the opener posted a fifty while Rand (30) fell to the bowling of Charlie Cunial.
Josh Carn (2/28) had a positive influence with the ball, taking the wickets of Mark Burns (2) and Angus Boulton (11) to put the pressure right on the Cougars.
The Cougars reached the end of their 40 overs on 6/154 with a run rate of 3.85 meaning Hanwood came away with the winning draw. Hanwood takes on Leagues at Hanwood Oval next weekend while Coro faces Exies.
