The Sikh custom of Nagar Kirtan took over the streets of Griffith as members of the Sikh community walked from Memorial Park to the Sikh Temple along Kidman Way as part of the celebrations honouring the birth of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
A gathering was held in Memorial Park before the procession, with martial arts demonstrations and food served.
Once the procession had reached the temple, food and drink were served before the Nishan Sahib was taken down from the temple's flagpole and washed in diluted milk, with a firework display closing out the celebrations.
