The three-car accident at around 4.45pm on Friday afternoon saw emergency services attend with road diversions in place for south-bound traffic.
Police say a 43-year-old man driving a white Toyota Camry turned onto Jondaryan Avenue, hitting a silver Toyota Camry with three people including a 12-year-old on board.
The impact sent the silver car careening into a white Holden Commodore driven by a 25-year-old man.
The white Camry ended up parked on the sidewalk. The driver was taken to hospital, with investigations continuing on whether he had alcohol in his system.
Police said the passenger of the silver Camry was also taken to hospital.
Both of the other drivers returned negative reading on breath tests.
