There were 160 visitors from 67 clubs vying for $15,000 of trophies, providing a huge boost to the local economy. The Bear Cottage Challenge raised $1600 for that charity.
The main trophy winners included player of the tournament, Bill Metcallef (Wyong).

The welcome late rain last Saturday played havoc with the afternoon players contesting the Robins Pharmacy single stroke for the November monthly medal.
Mark Townsend fired 79 off the stick, nailing birdies on the 1st, 10th and 18th to card 71 nett. Bryan Trembath was runner-up on 74 nett, shooting 78 with birdies on the 5th, 9th and 16th.
Charlie Gugliemino, 68 nett, won B Grade with 83 off the stick from Stephen Crowe, 70 nett, 88 scratch.
Gavin Aventi carded the day's best score of 67 nett, 89 off the stick with four pars, ahead of Byron James, 74 nett, 95 scratch. Matt Staines and John Brennick won the Pro Pins. Vouchers to 77 nett.
Staines, who now plays off plus-four, fired a par round to card 75 nett.
Sunday's storms kept all but seven diehards indoors who contested a single stableford won by Lama Lolotonga, 34 points; Ngara Timoti, 26 points, was second. Albert Donadel, 25, and Darryl Waide, 22, won vouchers.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday. Tony McBride, 39 points, won 0-18 ahead of John Bortolazzo, 35 points.
Byron James, 36 points, won 19-27 from Peter Den Houting, 35 points.
Noel Foley, 30 points, was best in 28-26 from Cam Woodside, 26. Vouchers to 33 points.
Another single stableford will be played this week.
The Volkswagen Scramble for men is on Sunday, November 17. Entries online and from the club and pro shop. Tomorrow and Sunday's events are single stablefords, with a two-person ambrose on Saturday.
A two-grade single stableford was played last Wednesday in two grades. James Lethlean fired four under par 67 to take out 0-18 Grade on 40 points. Runner-up Jason Magoci fired par 71 to card 39 points. Steve Panazzolo, 35 points, won the 19-36 Grade from Ray Mead, 34. Mead won the 7th pin, Robin Salvestro 15th. Vouchers to 32 points.
