If anything, there was more to be thankful of on Sunday.
The grounds of St Patrick's School were filled with people before everyone quickly ducked under the marquees, where the stall holders were more than happy to show off their wares.
Kids especially made the most of the horse rides, face-painting and jumping castles before a few were scared off by the wet.
Those who stayed relished the chance to enjoy a hearty dish of pasta, curry, or a good old sausage sandwich.

And of course, many lined up to take part in dunking their principals and Father Andrew Grace, with Talome Tengere coming close to scoring the first ever hat-trick dunking.
All proceeds from the fete go straight back into the Parish.
