For those eager to learn about the city's origins, guided tours around Pioneer Park Museum with the museum's curator will run through the day. Entry is $17 for adults, $13 for children, $30 for family plus a train ticket.

Annual fete to raise much needed money for Sacred Heart
The gates open at 11.30am on Sunday with activities to put a smile on anyone's face. As well as fun for the whole family like face painting and a slippery dip, there will be plants for sale, bric and brac and lucky dips.
ALTINA'S BIRTHDAY BASH
The MIA's own wildlife park celebrates 15 years
From 10am on Sunday, Altina Wildlife Park will celebrate 15 years with live music, children's activities a horse show and will open the 'mini zoo' featuring serval triplets, twin ring tail lemurs and twin marmoset monkeys. Entry is $20 per person.
COME INTO MY GARDEN
Exhibition explores a garden through the seasons
A series of photographs by artist Pamela Kent explore her garden, which is both her passion and a retreat from the everyday grind. The exhibition runs until November 15 at the Griffith Regional Theatre ArtSpace.
MOTHER LOVE
Community exhibition to promote work of local artists
Opening at 6pm on November 1, the Mother Love exhibition will explore ideas and themes the name evokes from maternity, nurture and guidance. The exhibition will be launched with a free event at the gallery on Friday.

Griffith Rotary's markets open from 7am until midday on Sunday. Stallholders will have everything from locally grown fruit and veg to home-made garden furniture and more.
