Mrs Wallace has been a beloved pillar of the Yenda community for the last three years, but come January she'll be leaving to start work as Tullimbar Public School's principal.
"There will be tears," Mrs Wallace said.
"I'll miss these kids incredibly, but they're all being supportive of us on our new journey and I do appreciate that."
The Wallaces will be moving to Shellharbour to start their new life closer to family, but Mrs Wallace said she'll be taking many fond memories with her.
She's come to personally know hundreds of children, both in her role as Yenda Public's principal and also as a teacher at Kalinda School where she worked for five years.
"When you walk down the street you feel like a rockstar, because all the kids recognise you. It's definitely one of the perks of the job," Mrs Wallace said.
"Between Kalinda and Yenda, every child made an imprint on our lives, so we have lots of fond memories to take with us."

During her time in Yenda she made her presence felt, organising dozens of events designed to drum up the sense of community spirit.
She's had a hand in everything from R U OK days, to drought relief, to fundraisers for Motor Neurone Disease, and she's had a knack for getting parents and the general community involved.
"Community is very important, and Yenda Public School is the heart of this community," Mrs Wallace said.
"We felt a big part of this community, and the community's been a big part of us. It'll be sad to leave."
The feeling is mutual.
She'll be sorely missed by students such as Heather Wilkinson, who said Mrs Wallace always took the time out of her day to get to know each of them individually.
"She's very helpful," Heather said.
"She even helps us with puzzles."
Connor Ings said Mrs Wallace always found ways to make school enjoyable.
"She's very fun," Connor said.
"She always gets fun activities for the school. She gets robots for different classes to play with every week."
