But even without their coach, the outfit managed to complete the league double over Leeton, winning by a narrow 86 to 80.
"A little bit of our leadership was missing without Arch, but we got there," Demons' Dean Spratt said.
"We started out a bit slow, but in the second half we started clicking and Isaac started scoring."
In the two matches against Leeton, youngster Isaac Testoni has contributed 34 and 31 points respectively. This has helped him to the status of near-invaluable player, as he has continued to show great form in tough MIA matches.
"We just have to play good defence as a team," Testoni explained.
"The team effort is what makes it easy for everyone else."
Griffith's on-court chemistry has helped their side throughout the season, with Mick Duncan playing a key role in linking up play.
The Demons led at the end of every quarter on Saturday, with the margin fluctuating each and every time.
Leeton were convinced their side was nearing a comeback at various points throughout the game. Eagles' captain Ryan Newman remains certain that it could have gone either way.
"We were only one key player and one key shot away from winning," Newman said.
Luke Howe was the top scorer for Leeton, he credited their marginal loss to the improvements that his squad has made throughout the 2019 season.
"We were a lot better in this than the first game, so that's definitely a positive," Howe said.
