The Demons managed to walk away from their first weekend with one win and one loss, a mixed result due to inexperience and a lack of numbers.
"Some of the girls didn't even know each other before taking the court," coach Caroline Snow explained.
"But they put in a great team effort."
The loss against West Wyalong saw a 52 to 27 scoreboard, with Abby Favell and Meg Dal Broi both rallying the squad and keeping the Demons fighting spirit alive.
The match-up against Leeton was a tough game for Griffith, but the ladies managed to emerge victorious after an outstanding team performance.
Despite Leeton leading at the beginning of the final quarter, Demons held their confidence and overturned the match to win 57 to 47.
