It was a back and forth game with Snow opening the scoring with Lily-Belle Misiloi getting over, but the lead was short-lived with Jenna Richards getting over for an immediate reply.
Rebecca Groat then gave Luna the lead but once again the lead didn't last long with Snow getting over in the next set.
Luna Wild looked set to take a two-try lead into the half time break with tries to Georgia Fuller and Lara Rossetto, but Emma Woolnough managed to get over to make it 4-3 at the break.
Misiloi scored early in the second half to bring the scores back level before Mia Patton restored the advantage for Luna Wild.
Misiloi was able to complete her hat-trick to make it 5-all before Richards scored her second of the game to give the Luna side a 6-5 lead.
Shailyn Williams was able to get over for Snow Excavation to see the tight tussle finish at 6-6.
SJR Industries were able to take a 5-2 win over I2R in the other game in the women's 1/2 division.
Mitch Cooper Plumbing was able to make a strong start to their season in the men's top division with a 7-4 win over KX450F.
Mitch Cooper Plumbing started strongly with three quick tries including one to Johnathan Morris before Sam McGinn got over the line just before half time to make it 3-1.
KX450F was able to score the first try of the second half to reduce the gap to two tries before Morris restored his side's advantage with his second of the evening.
Matthew Wells got over in the corner, and another quick try to the Mitch Cooper side saw the gap grow to 6-2 before Dean Schmetzer pulled one back for his team.
The lead grew back out to four before KX450F scored a try right at the death to see the game finish with a three-try win to Mitch Cooper Plumbing.
In the other clash in the men's top division, Griff Hotel Big Cash took at 7-5 win over Suman's Engineering.
