Banna Avenue transformation
Citrus sculptures are set to be erected early on Sunday morning, signalling the start of Griffith's Spring Fest. Over 70 sculptures will be on display, including Altina's life-sized giraffe, Telstra's old-style phone booth, Foodwork's cash register and Murrumbidgee Irrigation's photo booth.
Thirsty Merc hits Griffith
Southside Leagues Club welcomes band for charity
Thirsty Merc will be performing at the Southside Leagues Club on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going towards Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group and the McGrath Foundation for Pink Up Griffith. Tickets are $15.
Relay for Life
Griffith's 10th event to be held at Solar Mad Stadium
Griffith's Relay For Life will be held over Saturday and Sunday at Solar Mad Stadium. Relays are held overnight, with a carnival atmosphere and a tent city set up for those resting. It is an 18 hour event starting at 3pm on Saturday and finishing at 9am on Sunday.
Griffith, Ariah Park and Leeton
On Saturday and Sunday, the Rail Motor Society will be hosting train tours including morning tea, lunch, and a historic town walk with historian Bill Speirs. Saturday's ride will be from 10am to 5pm starting in Griffith and going to Ariah Park, with return. Sunday will see sessions running from Griffith to Leeton at 9.30am to 11.15am, 12pm to 1.45pm, and 2.30pm to 4.15pm.
Come into My Garden
Artspace @ the Theatre
Experience the photography, photogravure, cyanotypes and ziatypes from artist Pam Kent. Explore the abstract and the real in a journey through the artist's garden, focusing on the detail in plants, flowers and animals. It will be on display at Griffith Regional Theatre until November 15.
