Gerry Cox, 41 points, won A Grade, firing 77 off the stick and draining a birdie on the 5th to go with 10 pars. The day's runner-up was Wayne Bottcher (39 points) with 21 out and 18 home.
Dom Guglielmino, 38 points, was best in B Grade, recovering from a dirty day of 15 points on the front nine to par seven on the back to card 23 points in.

In second, Frank Zambon, 36 points, scored a consistent 18 points on each nine with five pars.
John Gavin, 41 points, won C Grade, aided by a 24-point front nine, carding four-point pars on the 4th and 5th holes. Runner-up was Jorge Wood, 38 points, who nailed a birdie on the 5th.
Pro Pins were won by Justin Robertson and Anthony Zamin. Par Threes: 4th Travis Payne, 7th Lance Perry, 11th Adrian Smith, 16th Bryan Salvestro. Vouchers to 34 points.
SUNDAY
Heat, wind and dust made the going unpleasant for Sunday's single stableford, played in two grades.
Sim Tuitivake, 37 points, won 0-18 Grade ahead of Craig Battington, 35 points.
Andrew Mott, 38 points, won 19-36 Grade from Mick Catanzariti, 37 points. Rob Trembath won the 7th pin, Jason Magoci 11th.,Vouchers to 32 points.
SUMMER 5'S
The Caltex Summer 5's started on Monday, October 7. There's still time to register by contacting the club or pro shop. The first section runs until December 14.
THIS WEEK
Week two of the junior clinics with club pro James are from 10-11am on Thursday and Friday, October 10. All gear supplied.
A reminder also of the junior clinic and competition held each Sunday at 10am.
Members events this week include a single stableford on Wednesday and Sunday, Saturday single stroke for the October monthly medal and the third round of the Handiskins.
VETERANS
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday, an event which was also the second round of the Cudmore-Williams Trophy.
Sixteen Leeton players made the trip.
Geoff Cotterill won the day's event, carding 40 points. Dave Gandy, 37 points, was second and Peter Den Houting, 34 points, third. Ball comp to 33 points.
Griffith won the day 31.12 points to Leeton, 28.20 points. However Leeton took the trophy home with an overall 60.77 to Griffith's 60.40.
