The above programs will fall under the one banner of the Association and will be now known as one club called Griffith Football Club. (Griffith FC). The purpose is to align and provide branding cohesion between all.
SAP and Rep will be known as Griffith FC Academy, and Rhino's 13's-18's and will be Griffith FC NPL.
The Association has appointed Ross Morgan to oversee Griffith Football Club and Player and Coach development of Griffith & District Football Association.
Morgan is hopeful the changes will have the desired effect.
"These are positive changes for the local junior players, "Rep" will undertake the majority of these changes," he said.
"Backed by both player and parent feedback, the Association are keen to enhance the opportunities for rep players with teams now playing in multiple tournaments and running throughout the season.
"Both SAP and Junior Rhinos have been running successfully for the past six years developing players and transitioning them into both NPL teams and state teams that play at Nationals.
"Both these programs will continue to run similarly within the new Griffith FC model."
There will also be some significant changes to the way teams are selected for 2020. Teams will now be chosen by an independent panel, not the coaches.
