The sport has been on the rise over the last couple of seasons and Rocky Marando, who runs Riverina Complete Sports alongside brother Ross, feels the growth isn't too surprising.
"I think it is the fastest-growing sport in Australia and the world," Rocky said.
"It has come around very quickly, and we are excited about our new competition. Hoping to make it better than ever."
The competition is still three weeks away from starting, but already it looks set to reach the number of teams who registered for the 2018/19 competitions.
"Last year we had 60-odd junior teams and 25-30 adults, and we already have about three-quarters of that already, and it's still a month away, so that is really exciting," Ross said.
"If you don't play any summer sports or have any other soccer you don't do anything for six months so for those players who love the game it just gives them the chance to play all year round."
It isn't just the footballers of Griffith the Riverina Complete Sports team is targeting with the addition of a junior netball competition.
"Junior netball which is a new sport for us this year from under 9s to under 15s and we are very excited for that to get underway," Rocky said.
"Similar to soccer they don't get to play their sport for six months so if they want to keep their skills up while they are in their junior years this is the best time for development and to learn the game.
"We started with the adult super sixes for netball last year, and that has been pretty successful so now we are trying to get a season of juniors."
Ross also wanted to remind parents who haven't used their second active kid's rebate both the junior futsal and junior netball competition are eligible.
