It was the Griffith school's third trip to the finals, and it proved to be the charm as they took out the competition with a 6.6 (42) to 1.3 (9) win over Kings Langley Public School from the Blacktown area having seen off South Wagga Public School in the semi-final.
Coach Matt Kenny was thrilled to see the hard work pay off.
"We were there for a purpose and worked hard all year to achieve it," he said.
"The day was wonderful. The boys played as a team, and we're very proud of them."
Griffith East's Andrew Noad felt it was the culmination of a journey for the boys.
"It hasn't just been a one-year thing this is our third year that they have made the final, and previously they hadn't made it further than the semi-final, but this year they got what they deserved," he said.
"All of the hard work has paid off, and it feels like the three-year journey rather than just the last 12 months, and for the majority of kids in the team they have all been apart of that process."
Noad also wanted to thank Kenny for his dedication to coaching the side.
"He was influential and loves his footy and is heavily involved in the junior Swans as well," he said.
"It is great to have him at our school and involved with the footy because the kids really respect what he does and love his coaching.
"He brings the best out of the kids, and they played tremendously because they rose to the occasion and were motivated."
The Griffith East teacher said it was great for the broader football community from around Griffith showing their support for the boys.
"There has been a lot of community support from the junior Swans and other schools around town," he said.
"In the lead up their we a couple of training sessions which a lot of kids who aren't associated with Griffith East came and trained with our boys and played practice matches."
On top of being crowned champions, Thomas Jamieson was named as best on ground for the final.
