Coming away third in their division, everyone who went came away with something to focus on, a newfound passion and dedication after watching those who have almost hit the top perform.
Conductor Trevor Peacock explained the experience for him was somewhat personal, however having the group together was and amazing experience.
"Going with the band in the bus, they are a great group of people, and especially seeing them enjoy the whole experience, and getting the feedback that we got was amazing," Mr Peacock said.
"Watching the other bands up there, I now know what I am going to focus on to keep our guys improving, and I definitely have new ideas I would like to try."

For him as band master, it wasn't so much as "toughening up" but more about becoming more regimented in rehearsals - something of a logistical challenge seeing members are spread all across the MIA and beyond.
His passion for inspiring new musicians to join, with little to no experience required, remains as steadfast as ever.
"We had people go who have been playing less than 12 months, and for them to be up there and performing on stage at the championships just goes to show that you don't need years of experience - just come along, have fun, and get better along with us."

With less than 100 days till Christmas, the band are now going to go forth and practice carols and get themselves ready for the festive season.
