It was a bright start for Yoogali SC, with the side opening the scoring in the 10^th minute through Grant Davidson, who finished off an Isaac Donadel cross with a powerful shot into the back of the net.

However, Yoogali SC were unable to add to their advantage in the remainder of a fiery first half, with tempers beginning to rise as both sides fought to maintain dominance of the ball.

The second half saw Yoogali FC begin to push more aggressively in search of an equaliser, but it was their opponents who had the next big chance of the match.

League top-scorer Mitch Bagiante almost doubled Yoogali SC's lead in the 65^th minute, with his effort only stopped by a strong block from Yoogali FC defender Gary Catanzariti.

However, Yoogali SC wrapped up the title three minutes later, with Bagiante producing a top-drawer strike to beat Yoogali FC keeper Adrian Montagner and send the side two goals ahead.

Yoogali SC coach Luke Santolin said the second goal was crucial to ensuring his side got over the line.

"We wanted the early goal but we wanted a second because we know they just keep on coming," he said.

"We were never comfortable until five minutes to go.

"But I think we were very well disciplined today and we didn't really give them a sniff, I suppose the experience shone through."

The title is the fourth straight first grade title for Yoogali SC, with the side previously beating Hanwood in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 finals.

Santolin said the squad's experience helped keep the side in check on the day.

"I feel very lucky to be part of a group like this, I know that it was a smaller comp this year but it still felt like any other grand final today," he said.

"When you've been with a group for this long, it keeps you calm.

"A lot of players have been there before and I think that was the difference today."

The victory capped off a strong afternoon for Yoogali SC, with Mitch Bagiante also picking up the golden boot award for his 23 goal campaign and Grant Davidson named the most valuable player on the pitch.

However, Yoogali SC's victory was slightly marred after the full-time whistle, with players and spectators from both sides drawn into a brawl on the pitch.

Security for the event was required to intervene and a referee's report will be made to the association regarding the incident.
