Dee Vine Estate's 2017 Nericon Pinot Noir claimed the Riverina Wine of the Year title at the 2019 China Wine and Spirit Awards.
The title capped a strong performance by the winery in the awards, with five Dee Vine wines, including their title-winning Nericon Pinot Noir, picking up Double Gold medals at the event - the highest rating awarded by the competition.
Dee Vine senior winemaker Moreno Chiappin said the win was encouraging for the winery as it shows their work is being recognised internationally.
"We're a small team here," Mr Chiappin said.
"It's recognition for all the hard work everyone puts in.
"China is playing a very important role now for this area... and [their] demand for our wine, so it's good to get recognition from them and hopefully turn it into more sales."
