HOUSING MATTERS
Desperate pleas for housing continues, however, a paradigm shift in thinking is needed for Griffith to get back its thriving energy.
The current housing issue has not happened overnight, rather as a result of procrastination and lack of policy changes.
RESOURCE CENTRE
The path towards the establishment of a multicultural resource and information centre has picked up energy in the last few days.
It's been disappointing that our local council has not been proactive in this matter.
All over Australia, local government's core responsibility is that it governs for the community, leading to sustained growth and a positive, strong and thriving community.
MULTICULTURAL NSW
We participated in the strategic plan for our region and Griffith, one of course being the establishment of a Multicultural Resource Centre. We will continue to engage.
NRL TERM FOUR
The Multicultural Council is happy to partner with the NRL for the cultural development day planned with primary school students.
A great initiative. Promoting cultural diversity and social cohesion is always a positive outcome.
CHRISTMAS CAROLS
The combined churches meeting to discuss a unified carols event took a positive turn, which may in turn promote a yearly carol event. More to come.
