With Jacob Rizzeri taking two quick goals in the first few minutes of the game, it didn't take long for Yoogali to set the tone for the match.
While West Griffith seemed to raise the pace to keep up with the home-ground team, they were clearly out-matched by their competitors who won 7 to 2.
Coach Ross Marando was understandingly excited, looking down the barrel of the first grand final match Yoogali FC have had since 2014.
"It's 100 percent exciting," Marando said.
"Two-nil straight away after the first five is really good, and the boys continued to keep pushing it to them and were rewarded with a few goals in the end as well."
Despite having a few "slow" moments he still liked the way the team moved the ball, and hoped they'd be able to keep the pace yet again.
"Last week we were a bit stuck with it... but this game we ended up getting a few mid-fields on the score sheet as well."
He said Roy Catanzariti stood up, playing a really good game and scoring a couple of goals, with Rizzeri getting in early to set the benchmark.

Now, it's preparation time for what is set to be a "tough" match.
"There will be a lot of challenges, as it will be the first time many of our players have been in the finals, so nerves will probably get us a bit at the start.
"They are going to be a very tough side but I'm excited - the boys are excited too."
