Griffith Jockey Club vice president Renae Testoni said this year's races were already shaping up to be one of the popular ones yet, especially among the younger crowd.
"We've got so many social marquees booked this year, way more than we've had in the past," Ms Testoni said.
"We are trying to move into the younger demographic, so we're setting up a big selfie wall this year. No doubt that will create lots of fun and fanfare."
Ms Testoni has been helping to run the cup for many years, and she said each race just keeps getting bigger and livelier than the last.
It's been a big, red, circled day on the Griffith social calendar ever since it started, and this year's one will be no exception.
All eyes will be on this year's cup, which will be broadcast nationally on the television channel Sky One.
"Now that we're a Sky race, it's really upped the ante in terms of attracting better horses, better trainers, and better jockies," she said.
"We really are trying to put an event on that will be really amazing."
