Coming to Griffith on October 4, Leo guarantees the audiences will get a taste of the old favourites as well as looking into his new work - a chance to show what makes the pop icon tick.
The Grammy-award winning, international chart-topping British music legend comes to the Riverina to perform a select amount of shows after a sold-out UK 'Just A Boy' tour. The sounds of his album Selfie were created in an old pottery barn in a small 400 person village in the NSW Southern Highlands.
"I've built a very easy to use but quite complex studio, manipulated the sounds and samples, learning how to do it," he explained.
"Following the songs and the sounds I had in my head and finding out how to make it come to life."
Hoping to achieve an artist status akin to painters and authors with the one name at the bottom of the work, he holds himself to emulating music greats like Stevie Wonder, Prince and Bob Dylan - while realising at 71 it will be a steep hill to climb. He says the new album will have elements reminiscent of the good old days, and yet feels as though this is his chance to show people who he really is as an artist.
"I've played the harmonica, but unfortunately I'm no good at accompanying myself, but I am enjoying that again.
"There will always be bluesy elements - like those in Raining In My Heart - it becomes a real kind of blues workout.

"In what is basically a one and three quarter show we explore the elements... it's a chance to show everything that you got."
While performing to audiences world-wide, Leo assures Griffith they will see exactly what audiences in places like London get.
"The funny thing is, the audiences aren't that much different, they all come to see you play.
"We do get some surprising audiences - surprisingly young audiences, which is curious as they seem to like the records on their own right. They are just as enthusiastic."
This will include all his greatest hits, as well as material from Selfie.
"We've always have a great reaction in regional areas, and I am looking forward to Griffith."
