Not only has Codemo Machinery Services recently celebrated 40 years of business in the Riverina, earlier this year it accomplished its latest and most significant physical expansion, relocating to a greenfield site in Oxley Street into a state-of-the-art facility that will set it up well into the future.
The business was started by John and Josie Codemo in 1978, with a second generation in sons Simon and David joining the team and taking over in recent years.
Since those first days, the business has gained a strong reputation for the sales and service of a range of agricultural machinery, from tractors and all manner of equipment, to the futuristic GPS-driven intelligence systems.
Over the space of 40 years and having purchased additional land and and constructed new buildings over two locations, it was finally time to concede Codemo Machinery Service had outgrown the premises that had served so well since 1978.

Stop in and see the sales department
The experienced Codemo Machinery Services sales department has built long-standing relationships with both customers and suppliers.
Dealer principal Simon Codemo said providing clients with quality products to correct specifications - from planting and harvesting machinery to precision land management equipment - was the key to success.
"The combination of our sales experience and our service team's industry and brand specific training make Codemo Machinery the correct choice for all your machinery needs," Simon said.
"Our years of sales experience mean Codemo Machinery has been a leading supplier of broadacre cropping, irrigation, horticulture and livestock farming throughout Griffith and the Riverina."
Team keeps the machinery running
The products at the core of Codemo Machinery Service have developed dramatically over the last 40 years.
Tractors used for broadacre production that were up to 140 horsepower can now be anywhere from 300 to 600hp, while for horticulture they were 60hp and now up to 120hp.
"It has been a great transformation to have purpose-built facilities to accommodate this larger machinery," service manager Claude Martimbianco said.
"Our team strives to carry out repairs as quick and efficiently as possible, to minimise downtime.
"Apprentices are now product-specific trained and attend service schools from our product brands. This is only possible because of our long running relationship with our suppliers."
Services provided include preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, air-conditioning re-gassing and servicing, hydraulic repairs, general machinery repairs, diagnostic equipment repairs, dyno testing and 24/7 call-out during harvest periods.
See the team for all your ag parts needs
With now over 40 years of experience providing product knowledge and customer service, the fully qualified parts representatives at Codemo Machinery Services welcomes customers as a friendly, professional and customer-focused team.
"Our aim is to exceed our customers' expectations in stocking a large range of genuine and aftermarket parts to meet all agricultural business needs," David Codemo said.
The recent relocation to the larger premises has been a huge benefit to the parts team as well as to customers in-store and in the field.
"Now in our new premises we can hold a larger amount and variety of stock in our warehouse and parts department, which means less downtime for our customers all year round," David said.
Tech takes farming to whole new level
Precision Land Management (PLM) - also known as GPS technology - has taken centuries of standard farming practices and brought it into the new generation.
Codemo Machinery Services sales team member Andrew Gulloni said GPS technology could now achieve automation.
"Before this we had hard manual labour only," he said. "Technology is now used to assist the end user to increase productivity, decrease downtime, decrease harm to environment by only using resources we need and decrease wastage."
In the past there was too much of a strain on the end user, now with the help of technology, fatigue levels are severely decreased, which means more time spent in the field with fewer mistakes.
Codemo's aim is to continue to progress with GPS technology ensuring the end user is constantly up to date with technology.
"We are doing this in many ways including by hosting training days with our customers so they are achieving the most of out of their technology," Andrew said.
